Cancellation, Payment, and Refund Policy

Unless agreed otherwise and confirmed in writing or via a confirmed email, the following applies to all First-Training products and services.

1. General Payment Terms

  • Open Courses: Full payment is required at the time of booking via our online portal.

  • Group Bookings: An invoice will be issued, and full payment is required within 30 days of course completion.

  • Certificates will not be released until full payment has been received and cleared.

2. Cancellation Procedure

  • All cancellations or course rescheduling requests must be made in writing via email to info@first-training.co.uk.

  • Cancellations can only be requested by the person who booked the course or an authorised representative from the organisation.

  • Refund eligibility is determined by the cancellation time frame as outlined in the Refund Terms below.

3. Refund Terms

Refund percentages are based on the total course fee and not the amount paid at the time of cancellation. Time periods are calculated from the course start date and time, not the course end date.

  • Refunds are usually processed within 5 working days but may take up to 7 days to appear in your account.

  • If First-Training cancels a course, 100% of the money received will be refunded.

4. Moving to Another Course Date

  • Requests to move to another course date must be made at least 14 days before the course start date.

  • Requests made less than 14 days before the course start date will be treated as a cancellation and no refund will be given, unless another delegate takes the place.

Private Course Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule a private group course, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss available options.

5. Course Attendance Requirements

  • Late Arrivals: Delegates arriving more than 30 minutes late will not be permitted to complete the course and will not be eligible for a refund.

  • Disruptive or Abusive Behaviour: Learners behaving disruptively or abusively may be asked to leave, with no refund provided.

  • Identification: Delegates must bring valid photo ID to the course. If you are unable to provide ID, we will work with you to verify your identity where possible.

  • English Language Requirement: Delegates must have a basic command of English (Level 2) unless an official registered interpreter is present.

6. Private Course Venue Requirements

For on-site private courses, the training venue must be suitable for first aid training. If you are unsure, please contact us before booking. If the venue is found to be unsuitable on the day, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the course.

7. Delivery Policy

Training Courses

  • The time, date, and location of the training course will be agreed upon at the time of booking.

  • If First-Training has to change the training venue, we will notify delegates in advance. If the new venue is outside the originally agreed area, delegates may cancel and receive a full refund.

Physical Products (Certificates, First Aid Kits, etc.)

  • Certificates will be issued digitally once full payment has been received and all course requirements are met.

  • Physical products (e.g., first aid kits) are shipped via Royal Mail Standard or other courier services.

  • Orders will be dispatched within 48 hours if in stock.

  • Out-of-stock items will be dispatched within 48 hours of being restocked.

  • If a product cannot be dispatched within 4 weeks, a full refund will be offered.

8. Other Terms

  • The use of audio/visual recording equipment is strictly prohibited during our training courses.

  • First-Training reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses as necessary. In such cases, a full refund will be offered.
